The 5 sentence challenge has come to Class 3! Who will be our superstar writer this week? All entries will be put onto the 5 sentence challenge website (https://fivesc.net/) where children from all over the world can comment to give praise and help to improve your writing. This week, the focus for our writing in Year 5 is to use fronted adverbials to create cohesion and in Year 6, it is to develop our use of ambitious vocabulary and use a range of punctuation.

This week in Class 3, one afternoon a week, we are having a practical Maths lesson which consolidates our knowledge and understanding of different mathematical concepts. This week was fractions based. Take a look at our photos to see what we’ve been up to!
This week has seen a fabulous start to Class 3’s Mile a Day. Come rain or shine (sometimes even snow), Class 3 have battled the elements to make sure that they are as active as they can be. The Mile a Day idea stems from the Government’s Obesity Strategy and their advice for pupils to be raising their heart rate for an additional 30 minutes per day which is additional to PE lessons. There is certainly a buzz in the air in Class 3!
